Advanced First Aid for Adults and Children

Be prepared when every second counts.

During this comprehensive English-language first aid course, you will learn how to respond confidently and effectively to emergencies involving both adults and children.

Under the guidance of a certified Red Cross instructor, you will practise CPR for adults, children and babies, learn how to use an AED and develop the skills needed to assess an emergency situation, alert the emergency services and provide immediate first aid.

What you will learn

• cardiac arrest and chest pain
• stroke
• choking and suffocation
• severe bleeding and wounds
• burns and scalds
• fractures, sprains and dislocations
• head, neck and spinal injuries
• allergic reactions
• poisoning
• epilepsy and diabetes
• hypothermia and overheating
• drowning
• febrile seizures
• common injuries involving children

The course combines clear instruction with realistic practical exercises, helping you build the confidence to act quickly when it matters most.

Internationally recognised certificate

After successfully completing the course, you will receive a worldwide recognised Red Cross First Aid certificate.

The certificate is valid for two years and can be renewed by completing a refresher course.

You will also retain access to the online learning module for one year after completing the course.
